COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS

Our Results.

We’re proud to partner with grassroots organizations doing transformative work in Metro Atlanta. Here’s where your support is going.

The Community Investment from FABA was used to support both the operational stability and hands-on program implementation of their workforce development initiatives for their clients. Funding helped cover essential day-to-day expenses while directly supporting job readiness training, professional wardrobe services, and skill-building opportunities designed to prepare clients for long-term employment success.

Area of Impact: Douglass County & Fulton County

The grant from FABA was used to purchase essential dorm supplies for five graduating high school seniors in our Taylor Made University (TMU) program, preparing to transition to college. Funds supported the purchase of basic necessities such as bedding, storage items, hygiene supplies, and study essentials to ensure each student entered their first year with the items needed for a safe, comfortable, and successful on-campus living experience.

Area of Impact: Newton County

This grant directly supported the daily operations of EAKC’s no-cost afterschool programming for youth in Southeast Atlanta. During the academic year, it costs approximately $2,000 per day to provide safe spaces, enrichment activities, academic support, meals, staffing, and program supplies for the students they serve.

Angelia O'Neil

Founder & Executive Director of M.W.I Workforce Institute

“This grant funding will help reduce financial barriers for students from low-income households and allowed them to focus on academic success rather than unmet basic needs.”

Darnell Taylor

“FABA is an important partner to EAKC as we continue to provide no-cost afterschool summer camp, counseling, weekly food distribution programming to kids and famililes placed at-risk here in southeast Atlanta. ”
